Description
NASH OGDEN: (1902-1971) American Poet. A.L.S., Ogden, two pages, 8vo, London, 26th November [1965?] to Nicolas [Bentley], on the printed stationery of The Connaught. Nash thanks his correspondent for a caricature, stating that he is grateful to Bentley for having created it. He further adds that it was good to have seen his correspondent briefly recently and hopes that ´another seven years needn´t elapse before we meet again, and that you will be able to say No to tomato juice´. To the verso Nash has penned an amusing poem entitled Convalescent Notions which reads, in full, `An ingenious soprano of Hingham/ Designed her won dresses of gingham/ The unvarying theme/ Was the score of Boheme/ So when they wore out she could singham.´ Signed with his initials at the conclusion.
