To be a part of one of their "get-together" was considered a mark of becoming part of the top "A" list in showbiz. Carefully selected by Van Johnson's daughter, Schuyler, directly from Van Johnson's personal scrapbooks, these are a series of 12 one-of-a-kind extremely rare photographs both from these parties, vacations, trips, backyard BBQ's with the stars, and several emotional charged special photos from Van's illustrious career. These amazingly candid photos, never published or seen before include the goings on of such Hollywood royalty as Lana Turner, Lex Baxter, Norma Shearer, Martin Arrouge, Laurence Harvey, Van Johnson and wife Evie, Judy Garland, Ethel Merman, Jack Benny, Clifton Webb, Merle Oberon, Noel Coward, Rock Hudson, Gene Tierney, Henry Hathaway, Geraldine Fitzgerald, Evelyn Keyes, George Burns, Henry Fonda, and Peter Lawford. Also included is a rare personal photo of Tyrone Power with his wife Linda Christian, and their beloved infant Romina (who sadly lost her own daughter in 1994 when she disappeared in New Orleans and was never found); a Richard Tucker photographed portrait of Katharine Cornell and Maurice Evans in their legendary stage performance of "Romeo and Juliet"; and a dramatic on-the-set photo of Van Johnson and Lucille Ball (who basically started his career), while filming their motion picture together "Easy To Wed" (1946). These 12 extremely rare personal photographs are of various sizes, in both color and black and white. This exceptional cornucopia of Hollywood memorabilia comes from the collection of the Estate of Van Johnson, and includes a Letter of Provenience from Van Johnson's daughter, Schuyler.
