Offered are three bottles of vintage 1945 Armagnac Ténarèze produced by Domaine d’Amblat. The original filling quantity was 0.7 l. The bottling is original. Armagnac Ténarèze are generally richer and more full-bodied in style than those made in the other regions, and are suited to a longer ageing process. The bottles are delivered in individual, original wooden cases by Domaine d’Amblat.

Armagnac is a distinctive kind of brandy, which is being produced in Gascony, in the Southwest of France. It is distilled from wine usually made from a blend of several grapes. The resulting spirit then matures over several decades in oak barrels before it can be reduced to drinking quality and bottled. The oak barrels add to the dark, amber color as well as to the typical aromas of prunes, vanilla, licorice and others. Usually, Armagnac is of a stronger taste than cognac and is thus regarded as noble and smooth. The distillation of brandy looks back to a long tradition, since it was mentioned in a document as early as 1416.

Bottles and wooden cases are in very good condition. The wax seals are original and intact, the labels are barely touched. The fill levels are very good (2x In Neck, 1x Top Shoulder). (nlu)
