A diamond and gem-set novelty brooch. Designed as a bi-colour winged insect, set throughout with old-cut diamonds, with vari-shape ruby sapphire and emerald highlights. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45ct. Length 3.6cms. Weight 5.5gms.

Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear. Diamonds fairly well matched. Diamonds bright and lively. Small light and dark inclusions can be seen under magnification. Condition of diamonds good to fair, some abrasion, small nicks and nibbles can be seen under magnification. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Ruby medium purplish-red, strong saturation, with fairly good clarity, showing typical inclusions. Sapphires medium blue, strong saturation, with fairly good clarity, showing typical inclusions.
