A Chinese porcelain armorial tea caddy, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong (1736-95), painted with the arms of Askew, quarterly with Storrs, Crackenthorpe, Rawlinson and Mottram, impaling arms of his wives Swinburne, Holford and Stayner, and the motto Patientia Casus Ex Superat Omnes, with a later silver cover, 11.5cm high Provenance: S. Marchant & Son label and purchase receipt dated 16th January 1973 for £250. D.S. Howard illustrates an identical tea caddy in Chinese Armorial Porcelain , p.16, page 456.
