Description
Two Carved Rosewood Crucifixes, early 20th c., one with a patinated bronze Christ figure, the other with a carved ivory figure of Christ, Bronze- 16 3/8 in., W.- 9 in., D.- 1 1/2 in.
Condition
Conditions consistent with age. Mild dust debris is observed throughout both crucifixes. A flea-sized spot of brown discoloration is observed to the ivory Christ’s toe. Separations are noted between arms and torso on the ivory Christ. Bronze is seen with a nice patina. An approximately 1 inch section of wood has chipped off behind the bronze Christ’s head, but is attached by a nail. A nice pair.
