Description

Rice Carved Mahogany Tester Double Bed, 20th c., the arched canopy with a carved baldequin, over an arched headboard and supported by reeded tapered rice carved posts, on square bases to spade feet, with pink draperies, H.- 107 in., Int. W.- 54 in., Int. D.- 74 1/4 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age and use. Scattered nicks and scratches are seen to wood throughout, with most approximately ½ inch or less. A 2 inch are of loss to finish is noted to bottom rail. Left footboard finial is seen with a ¼ inch loss to the top, and the right headboard finial is now lacking. Draperies are seen with some dirt debris and discoloration all over. A striking example. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS."
