Royal Vienna Hand Painted Porcelain Covered Stein, c. 1900, of a monk pouring beer, with gilt decoration overall, titled on bottom "Ein Frischer Trunk," #34699, H.- 6 1/2 in., W.- 5 1/2 in., D.- 3 3/4 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age. Repaired break noted at the base of the handle where it attaches to the body of the stein. No other cracks or chips observed. The rim on the lid is slightly bent in one area and doesn’t sit completely flush. There is a 1/8” diameter pink spot of discoloration on the edge of the porcelain lid. A beautiful example.
