This silver pocket watch was made in 1741 by John Stokes in England. The watch shows a richly decorated protective case with a chivalric scene (gentleman hands lady a beaker). The watch is fitted with a manual wind movement and displays hour and minute. The white enamel dial shows gold and black hands. The watch case as well as the protective case are made of silver. The movement is numbered 15105. The watch is signed “John Stoakes”, meaning “Stokes”.
