Description
A Near Eastern bronze molar flask, c. 9th - 14th Century, on four short angled feet resembling the roots of a tooth, the body decorated with grooves and drilled ‘dots’. A nice example and a bronze example of a popular glass perfume bottle type of the eastern Mediterranean region. H: 2 4/5 in (7.3cm). Nice deep brown patina. Ex Chicago private collection.
