Mewar School
The Mewar school, part of the Rajasthani School, is one of the most important schools of Indian painting. Stylistic characteristics are bold colors and strong color contrasts, as well as a flat representation of figures and a lack of perspectival realism. The artists were often inspired by Indian heroic stories, religious writings, poems and folkloric legends.
