This is a complete slice of a select Toluca meteorite. Featuring Toluca’s coarse octahedral pattern—differences in iron meteorites’ crystalline patterns are the result of compositional variances. Toluca meteorites are one of the few meteorites to have had a social impact on its local citizenry. In the late 1700s Toluca meteorites were recovered and forged into agricultural tools.
