Rhodochrosite and fluorite

First discovered in Romania, Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonite mineral. In its rare pure form, exhibited here, the mineral is a stunning watermelon-red color. Dotted with cubes of lavender Fluorite, the result is strikingly delicate and visually appealing. This rare specimen also contains small flecks of Pyrite crystal provides a metallic counterpoint to the frosted Fluorite and semi-translucent Rhodochrosite.
