The late comedy genius and actor Robin Williams was renowned for his improvisational skills, bringing new life to every character he portrayed throughout his career. The photographs here capture the young Williams’ dynamic personality – as well as his wide-range of facial expressions – in a variety of settings, including after he won a Golden Globe in 1979 for his breakout role in the television series, “Mork & Mindy.” Williams went on to win numerous other awards, including two more Golden Globes for “Mork & Mindy,” a Grammy Award for “Good Morning Vietnam,” an Academy Award for “Good Will Hunting,” and the Golden Globe’s prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award.
Executed circa 1980, this group of four gelatin silver prints each measures 10 x 8 inches. Each have the photographer’s reproduction limitation credit ink stamps, Ralph Dominguez, Globe Photos, New York, verso. Many with small scuffs, indentations, scratches, slight soiling or light handling creases as expected.
