Description
Rome, ca. 2nd - 4th century CE. Ancient glass vessel with free blown lentoid body, a cylindrical neck cinched at its base, the disk rim infolded, the body pinched on either side at center, pair of applied decorative handles on shoulders. Handsome form with areas of silvery rainbow iridescence. Size: 4"H (10 cm).
Provenance: Ex-Attal private collection, via family descent from great uncle, acquired in first quarter of 20th century.
