Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, La Tolita, Jamacoaque, ca. 100 BCE - 200 CE. Mold-made terracotta statuette heads, one adorned with nose-ring, elaborate shell-shaped ear ornaments, and grand helmet-headdress; the other with large ear spools, and decorative band adorning headdress. Size: Larger measures 2-1/2"H x 2-1/2"W.
Provenance: Ex-Adeon Gallery, Chicago, IL, acquired prior to 1970.
