A shagreen and baleen covered system walking stick, late 19th century/ early 20th century, the turned walnut grip with shallow domed top unscrewing to a compass within, with printed paper face beneath glass, within a brass seating, the upper shaft concealing a two draw brass telescope, unscrewing beneath the walnut grip and above the baleen, a brass ferrule below, 92.5cm highPlease note, the eye piece of the telescope is inscribed for 'Willson London'. George Willson, optician is recorded as having worked from Wardrobe Place, Doctors Common, London between 1799 and 1812
