Yellow bronze with enamel gilding. Nepal, approx. 17th to 18th cent.
Cakrasamvara sits with legs crossed on a lotus base and has four heads, also twelve arms. His most important characteristic is the crossed position of his main hands which hold vajra (diamond club) and ghanta (bell). He is also embracing his yogini Vajravarahi in sexual union. Attributes in his other hands are many-faceted - sandglass, axe, cleaver, magic stick etc. the head of Brahma at the lower right. The four heads of Cakrasamvara and yogini are gilded. Age or respectively smoke patina. HEIGHT 12,4 CM
