Description
Silver and turquoise. Tibet, 18th to 19th cent.
As jewellery – as women used such gaus – a delicately crafted amulet container in rectangular shape with triangular surfaces applied on each side. The entire front side is decorated with ribbed and beaded bars as well as with many turquoise inlays. On top is a pipe-formed grommet to hold the neck chain, below a vajra. On the side (cover missing) are rows of vajra motif. SIZE 9,8 x 10,6 CM
