On The First Anniversary Of The State Of Israel
CHAIM WEIZMANN (1874-1952). First President of the State of Israel elected on February 1st, 1949 and served until his death in 1952. Also a chemist who developed the ABE-process, which produces acetone, and he founded the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel.
May 1, 1949-Dated, important & historic Signed Photographic Special Presentation, Inscribed and boldly Signed, “Chaim Weizmann,” as the First President of the new State of Israel, Choice Extremely Fine. The inscription is beautifully written in brown ink below the large 10” x 8.5” inset Photograph and reads, in full:
“In appreciation of devoted service and leadership in behalf of the United Jewish Appeal. - (Signed) Chaim Weizmann” noted below: “May 4, 1949 - The First Anniversary of Israel”.
The black and white image of Weizmann is outlined in blue silk ribbon, after the Israeli flag. The image and text below are extremely clean and fresh, having excellent eye appeal. A wonderful and truly historic significant collectible autograph that will certainly be most impressive once properly framed for display.
