Description
Early 20th century, Qing dynasty. A five-piece silver set consisting of a knife, fork, and spoon, along with a leaf-handled teacup and saucer. All decorated with polychrome enamels to depict leafy floral sprays. Each stamped with nine character mark "Beijing, Quan Ye Chang, Fuxiang Zu Wen" or made by the Fuxiang fine silver workshop founded in 1862 for the Quan Ye Chang shopping mall which opened in 1905 in Beijing that specialized in fine Chinese goods. Knife, fork, and spoon each approx. 7 1/8 in., 18.2 cm. in length, the cup approx 1 1/4 by 2 3/8 in., 3.3 by 6 cm., the saucer approx. 3/4 by 3 3/8 in., 2 by 8.8 cm. Combined total weight is 94 grams.
