(5) Chinese pewter tea service set, 19th c., engraved dragon and floral motif with handles having relief decor, each marked Kut Hing Pewter Swatow with Chinese characters, comprising: (1) double drip teapot, approx 10"h; (1) teapot, having spout in the form of a swan, 5"h; (1) double handle sugar pot, 4.5"h; (1) creamer, 5"h; 7.75lbs total *Provenance: By inheritance and within the family of Angela Gregory (New Orleans, 1903-1990), a noted American sculptor and professor of art. Gregory graduated from Newcomb College, New Orleans in 1925, studied at Parsons School of Fine and Applied Arts in Paris. She studied stone sculpturing with Antoine Bourdelle in Paris and her work was exhibited in 1928. Returning to New Orleans, she was commissioned to produce a number of sculptures including the Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville monument and eventually was a professor and sculptor-in-residence for two decades at St. Mary’s Dominican College.
