Description
This is a set of early Montana Blackfoot Native American Indians Moccasins. The pieces were recovered near Rosebud, Montana. These are a very early set of moccasins believed to be from circa 1870's. The set were recovered from the ground in the area near the Battle of the Rosebud and Little Bighorn. Rare Find. These have wonderful early 1800's glass trade seed beadwork on early Indian Hide. The set are in a black display case with a glass top measuring 8"x14.5". Moccasins are each 10" long. (no paper work included). The pieces were purchased and sold by Otto F. Ernst. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming.
