Description
John and Horace Dodge got their start making parts for Ford and other car manufacturers. From the first Dodge Brothers car in 1914, their reputation for durability and quality rewarded the company with strong sales. They did not build an actual truck until World War I, however, that was a panel truck and not an actual pick up truck. In 1921, Graham Brothers started selling 1.5 ton pick ups through Dodge dealers using Dodge chassis. The Dodge Brothers eventually bought Graham Brothers in 1926. In 1928, Chrysler acquired the Dodge Brothers company after giving Plymouth dealers the Fargo truck which was sold in the US from 1928-1930. Offered is a rare Dodge Brothers 1928 Series F 1.5 ton express built by the Graham Brothers. With its Senior 6 cylinder motor, hydraulic 4-wheel brakes and 4-speed transmission, the F Series was capable of speeds up to 40 mph. Recent maintenance includes fuel pump and carburetor rebuild, wheel cylinders sleeved and brakes relined by White Horse Restorations. New tires on steel wheels have been installed and all gauges are functional. A rare find for the true truck collector. • Rare Dodge Brothers 1.5 Ton Pick Up • Locally Owned and Restored • 4-Speed Transmission • Runs Great
