Following WWII and the resumption of car manufacturing in the United States, all Fords were restyled 1942 models utilizing the same drivetrain as pre-war models. The grille was restyled with horizontal bars on the outside of the rectangular opening, instead of the flush-mounted grill on the 1942 models. The remainder of the body remained the same as the pre-war versions. The Deluxe model was the base trim level offered in 1946. The Super Deluxe series was the top trim level. It included chrome window moldings, horn ring, 2 interior sun visors, arm rests on all doors and a horizontal chrome strip along the sides of the vehicle. Power was produced from the L-head 239 cu in 100 hp engine and a 3 speed manual transmission. Pricing started at $1,553.00. Presented here is an absolute stunning labor of love and craftsmanship. Every single nut and bolt has been taken apart and reassembled, both mechanically and cosmetically.
