Early 19th century, constructed in two sections, the molded cornice above a reeded frieze over two locking glazed mullioned doors enclosing three adjustable wood shelves, over a locking drop front braced by two pull-out supports, enclosing a green tooled and gilt leather writing surface, backed by a central locking cabinet door enclosing a short drawer, flanked by two identical arrangements of four compartments over two short drawers over one longer drawer, raised overall on a conforming bureau with two short drawers over three long drawers, on bracket feet, 92.5'' H x 50.5'' W x 27'' D, est: $3000/4000

Condition
Refinished. Hardware possibly replaced; lock appears to be original. Upper and lower sections likely a marriage; lower section with added supports verso. Drawer within hinged compartment lacking pull. Minor bowing drop front and scattered shrinkage cracks commensurate with age, including splits running the length of each lower side panel. Upper long drawer lacking approximately 3'' of edge molding to drawer face; lower drawer lacking approximately 1'' of the same.
