Circa mid-19th century, the dual train movement with Japy Freres Medaille d'honneur seal and numbered ''11539'', further marked ''58'', attached to a white porcelain dial with applied black Roman numeral hours beneath a glass aperture within a rounded case surmounted by a book and knitting basket, aside a gilt-bronze figural group depicting seated mother and child, over a shaped gilt bronze-mounted plinth, raised on bracket feet, 13.75'' H x 17'' W x 6'' D, est: $500/700

Condition
Overall good condition. General marks, scratches and rubbed wear commensurate with age. An approximately 1'' x 1'' area of cracking and repair as well as scattered areas of re-gilding to verso of female figure. Nicks and fleabites to marble plinth. Aperture likely a later replacement; has been glued in. Lacking pendulum. With key. Moran's does not guarantee working condition of clocks.
