CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN ROSE MEDALLION CANISTER AND BOWL, the canister of straight-sided, cylindrical form, and the bowl with an incurvate shoulder, both painted in typical fashion with birds in flowering foliage within pink and green scrolling reserves, each with one reserve painted with figures within garden pavilions. On the canister, these appear on the cover; and on the bowl, these appear at the upper central area of the shoulder. Unmarked, but with some writing to the flange of the canister and the cover. Qing Dynasty, late 19th century. The canister 4 5/8" H, the bowl 9 5/8" D.

Good condition, with some nicks and small chips to the rim of the bowl; the gold band at the bowl edge mostly absent.
