The Packard Eleventh Series 1101 Eight Touring might have been the “Standard” for Packard but was well beyond any standard automobiles produced in the 1930’s. One of the few luxury custom bodied automobile manufacturers to survive the Great Depression, the Touring Model was one of 10 different bodies in the 1101 lineup. With smooth L-head inline 8-cylinder engine producing 120 hp from 319 cu in, the Packard power plant was large enough to deal with the most elaborate and heaviest of formal coachwork.
