Description

This is an antique wood engraving that is a double-page centerfold. Taken from Harper's Weekly - October 23, 1873. Title - 'An English Holiday on the Sands'. There is so much to see on this seaside afternoon. We have a photographer, harp players, kids playing with toys and kites, goat carriage, swimming, and lots of Victorian beach fun. Artist - Arthur Lumley. Additional text on reverse. SIZE: Approx 16" x 22". ****** We provide in-house shipping. Low shipping costs! Combine items to save even more! Condition

Inside the plate is very good with no damage except for 3 very small holes along the crease--they look like part of the scenery and you'd have to look close to see them. There are multiple tears and chipping along edges but they do not go into plate. Both bottom right corners are missing. Discoloration mostly on margins.
