photographers .- India Forestry Service.- An Album featuring Rangoon, Chittagong Hills and Darjeeling , 84 albumen prints of views, group portraits and similar, from 95 x 95 mm. to 250 x 300 mm., with a further 34 smaller supplementary photographs (mostly portraits), 13 original water-colour illustrations and 2 original pencil drawings of scenes, all mounted on verso & recto of ff., most with ms. captions to mounts underneath, some spotting and darkening to edges of mounts, some prints with slight darkening to edges and occasional spotting, a few faded, but overall good, contents together but detached from contemporary half morocco album, worn, g.e., 4to, [1870s & 1880s]. A series of photographs and related drawings etc relating to the India Forestry Service, including views of the Lakes in Rangoon, Darjeeling, Kinchingungo, the Teesta Valley and Simla, plus group portraits from the Service's meetings, portraits of officers and prominent members of the Service, and rare photographs of the Chittagong Hill Tracts and the Chittagong Hill Tracts Frontier Police Force.
