(1) Augur, Ruth Monro. (American, born 1886, Austin, Texas. Died 1967). Lived and worked in Texas, Oklahoma, Monterey, Carmel, California. This 1961 original oil on canvas painting depicts two cowboys on horseback, crossing the desert. Signed LRC: Monro Augur. Set in the original antiqued white ogee frame. There is damage to the painting as described below (see photos), but this Southwestern western painting is definitely worth repairing. Dimensions: 18" x 24" (frame 20 1/2" x 26 3/4").
