Description
A late 19th century Russian gold diamond hinged bangle. The old-cut diamond, with raised openwork sides, to the plain half-bangle. Estimated diamond weight 0.45ct, I-J colour, SI clarity. 56 Zolotnik mark. Inner diameter 5.8cms. Weight 10.6gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Surface wear and light scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Some light indentations to the panels. Bangle has been re-polished. Diamond bright, assessed within the limits of the mount. Scattered light and dark inclusions located throughout, easily visible under magnification. Diamond in fair to good condition with a few nicks to the crown facets near the girdle. 56 zolotnik mark to clasp tongue.
