Description
Circa 1850 short sword has a blade length of 19-3/4" and an overall length of 25-1/4". The handle is scaled brass with Roman-style cross guard, pommel bears and American double eagle. Marked "N.P. Ames Springfield" on front tang and "United States 1839" on back tang. Period scabbard included. The guard is stamped "S.W.". Hilt is also stamped "W.S.". Condition (Excellent) Size Size 25" L.
