Description: Hohokam red on buff Sacaton Phase painted censor. These heavy ceramic items were likely used for melting copper or paint minerals. A rare form. effigy helmet bowl. A more unusual form for Hohokam and very rare with the addition of the 5 painted thunder. The Hohokam existed alongside of the Anasazi in the Phoenix Basin.
