Description
Pre-Columbian, Western Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. Unusual and very attractive pottery warrior. He stands on very large detailed feet, knees slightly bent, hands to his sides, scarified shoulders and wearing crested helmet, padded loin cloth and large ear spools. A very nice example! Size: 17-7/8" H.
Provenance: Ex-private Houston, TX collection acquired locally between 1989 and 1999.
