Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, Nicoya/Guanacaste region, Ca. 200-600 CE. This jadeite avian celt features the characteristic delineation of a head with circular eyes drilled laterally and a wide downturned beak. Costa Rica was one of only two regions where jade was carved extensively in the Pre-Columbian era. 3-3/8" (8.5 cm) L
