Description
A pair of Teotihuacan candeleros from Mexico, ca. AD 400 - 650. These fine Xolalpan type double-chambered incense burners are 2-5/8 in wide and are decorated with linear designs and a burnished rim. Strong mineral deposits and root marks. Ex Freeman estate. Cf. Berrin, Teotihuacan, page 267 for similar from the Smithsonian.
