Description
Pair epaulettes (shoulder pads) from a Military dress or field uniform. Wool and gilt brass. Each has a golden ribbon and a button - finely detailed Eagle bird against a point background. Star appliques as well, in the center of each epaulette. Both marked by the manufacturer - MEA MILIT. EKIP. AKT. BOLAG., in the brass underside clasp. Made by MILITR EKIPERINGS AKTIEBOLAGET of Stockholm, Sweden, a uniform-tailoring company founded in 1883 and still in operation today. Circa late 1800's/early 1900's. Measurements: 6.5" (16.5 cm) x 5.1" (13 cm)
