Artist Unknown (Late 19th/Early 20th Century) An Angel Holding an Instrument. Oil and gold leaf on canvas, unsigned Sight: 29.5" x 19.5" Frame: 34.5" x 24.5"

This piece sustains a slight wave to the canvas, particularly in the lower right quadrant. There is a heavy varnish layer throughout the piece with a minor amount of surface grime due to age. To the upper left quadrant, there is one 8" diagonal scratch to the gold leaf. To the right of the figure, there is a 1" x 1" smudge in the gold leaf. There is one pen tip sized nick on the figure's blue dress. To the lower left corner, there is a 1/4" spot of pigment loss as well as a 3" section of dark grime. Otherwise, this piece is in overall good condition.
