Condition:

The sheet is in very good condition. The paper is slightly wavy, and there are minor creases to the corners. The frame shows only the lightest signs of use. The sheet dimensions are 23.2 x 31.4 cm, while the frame measures 45 x 53 cm.

Klaus Fußmann (b. 1938)

Klaus Fußmann was born in Velbert near Düsseldorf in 1938. From 1962 to 1966, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, where he worked as a professor between 1974 and 2005. Fußmann received several awards and exhibited his works at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, the Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt, the Kunsthalle Emden and the Kunsthalle Bremen as well as in numerous exhibitions abroad. The Museum am Ostwall in Dortmund dedicated a major retrospective to the artist in 2003. In 2005, Fußmann designed a monumental ceiling fresco for the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg. Today, Klaus Fußmann lives and works in Gelting at the Baltic Sea and in Berlin. (cko)
