AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) PORTRAIT OF A BOY, watercolor and pencil on paper, a fine bust-length example, the sitter in profile sporting a ruffled collar and blue frock coat with brass buttons. No signature located. Housed under glass with reverse-painted matte in a period gilt frame. Reportedly from a Richmond, VA family. Circa 1810-1830. 3 1/8" x 2 1/2" sight, 6 5/8" x 5 3/8" OA.
