The extensive portfolio ‘Trilogie Ö.K.’ was created during the years 1982 until 1985. It comprises 183 large-scale sheets consisting of two-, three- or four part compositions. The work is structured in three chapters, followed by an epilogue. Each of the four sections is composed of two parts: image and counter-image. Klinge writes about this project: ‘At the beginning of the work my attempt was to combine art and profane living to accommodate larger contexts of life within pictorial contexts. It was an attempt to repeal their temporal and spatial separation and to produce a synthesis by juxtaposing and antithetical relationship that establishes an inner image of social conditions.’

Condition:

The cycle is in a very good condition showing barely visible, usual signs of wear. The sheets measure 58 x 107.5 cm and 70 x 107.5 cm. The portfolios correspondingly measure 72 x 109 cm and 60.2 x 109 cm. The overall dimensions of the wooden coffer are 22.6 x 115 x 84.5 cm.
