Grouping of items from a Staunton, Virginia estate including 6 coin silver tipt end teaspoons (4.63 oz troy), marked "J. W. BEAR" (Jehu W. Bear, working Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, and Luray, Va. c. 1822-1858) plus 1 coffin-end tablespoon marked "JB" (likely James Black, working Philadelphia, circa 1795-1819), together with a watercolor and ink portrait of a young woman (possibly Valley of Virginia), sitting in a painted chair and holding a miniature portrait of a man, 6-1/2" x 5-1/2" (framed). All items first half 19th century.
Condition
Spoons in very good condition, all monogrammed D. Watercolor with small stains, losses, fading and wear, including wear to subject's face and wear/corner surface losses to frame.
