A Messapian lebes gamikos, Magnia Graecia, c. 4th Century BC, decorated with tongues around the shoulder, three small bands just below the shoulder, and a wide band in the center of the body retaining some of it's original black color, H: 4 ¾ in (12cm) at handles. There are two vertical handles bordering the mouth and a flared, flat foot with a band of color. Ex Oxford, England Private Collection.
