Unusual Sterling Desk Thermometer, early 20th c., marked "438, WHW, Sterling," the top rotating to expose a mercury Centigrade thermometer, engraved "JBB," Wt.- 1.6 troy oz., H.- 4 7/8 in., W.- 7/8 in.
Condition
As found. Various tarnish and surface scratches are seen throughout. Ventilation holes are noted at the base. It is undetermined whether this item is American or European. The thermometer bulb is broken. An unusual piece.
