Particularly significant are the first ten volumes, relative to the most fertile period of the Académie: in them there are 18 writings of Lagrange, including one on the differential calculus; the writings of Condorcet and D'Alembert; many contributions of scattered Carlo Allioni flora foothills and Sardinia; two written and one of Euler and Bernoulli; geological and mineralogical studies of Nicolis di Robilant, including one on the Duchy of Aosta; the writings of Monge; the countless contributions of Count de Saluces to modern chemistry, in particular those dedicated to the study of gas; the writings of Macquar and Sénebier; innumerable other contributions of scientists like Piedmont Giobert, Bonvoisin, Vassalli, Morozzo. In subsequent volumes appear works of leading scientists from Piedmont and Europeans: remember the first scientific writings of Amedeo Avogadro, the many astronomical writings of G. Plana, a prelude to his Theorie de la Lune, the Voyage sur le Mont-Rose of J. Zumstein.

The Académie des Sciences de Turin, founded as a Societas Taurinensis private initiative of Luigi Lagrange, Angelo Saluzzo Monesiglio, Gianfrancesco Cigna and other scientists from Piedmont and still operating today, mark a very significant phase of scientific research in the Piedmont region in the second half of the eighteenth and in the first decades of the nineteenth century, in the age of Enlightenment and the period Carloalbertino, through the revolutionary events, the annexation of Piedmont to France as a Department of the Empire, and the Restoration. We have 26 vols of the first series, consisting of XL volumes, in its various titrations and joints.

Missing vols. XIV, XV, XVII-XXI, XXVIII, XXXV-XL. The second set opened formally in 1839. For a full listing of the writings contained in these first series, see. A.
