Description

Two late 19th to early 20th century gold mounted card cases. Both designed as black leather cases with gold frames to the clip fastenings and pocketed interiors. Hallmarks for London, 1898 and 1909. Lengths 16.5 to 14.2cms. Total weight 292.9gms.

Condition

The overall condition of this lot is good to fair, with surface scratches and discolouration to the metal in keeping with age and wear. Wear to leather in keeping with age and use, and some dirt and discolouration to the inner linings in keeping with age. One case has initials applied in metal to the outer leather and to the interior gold frame, the inscription 'PERCY EDWARDS & CO 71 & 72 PICCADILLY, W', this case shows more wear to its outer leather.
