The untitled photograph originally made c.1898, depicts Zitkala-Sa (translates to Red Bird) also known by the missionary-given name Gertrude Simmons Bonnin, of the Native America tribe, Dakota. Measures 7.5" x 4.75". Pencil signed by the artist on the matting. Framed, matted and glazed measurement 15-3/8" x 12-3/8". Label on period frame from A.E. Schneider, 509 Union St., Seattle.
