Exceptionally carved Tibetan Chinar wood three-panel folding screen, late 19th c., pierced and relief detail in a foliate theme throughout, 38"h, 39.5" (open), 20lbs *Note: Featured in a 1959 Austin American Statesman newspaper article, the screen was made in Tibet and brought to Macao by tourists and given to the Scottish missionary there, who in turn presented it to Mary Alexander, Baptist missionary in China, c. 1920-1960's, and author of several literary works including "A Handbook of Chinese Symbols", published 1958, article accompanies the screen Start Price: $200.00
